The Nature Workshop is founded by Wang Luan Keng. She is a biologist by training. With over 20 years of experience working on various tropical ecosystems, especially in the ecology of birds, Luan Keng has decided to specialise in nature education.
In 2005, she developed the education programmes for the Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research, working with close to 100 schools in Singapore.
Together with various nature guides that she has trained, Luan Keng also initiated outreach programmes to increase awareness of biodiversity and nature conservation in Singapore, in particular, at Pulau Semakau.
Since 2013, Luan Keng has decided to leave the museum to start up The Nature Workshop, to continue her nature education and outreach programmes.
